Sign Guidelines

Following our university’s Sign Guidelines will create consistency and efficiencies across the university.

The primary purpose of the sign guidelines is to outline a consistent, uniform interior and exterior sign and wayfinding system for Carnegie Mellon University that meets the needs of the primary audience: first-time and infrequent visitors. These sign guidelines also exist to help the CMU campus fulfill its sign needs efficiently, affordably and consistently across campus.
