Mascot Mark
The Mascot Mark is our competitive mark.
It represents every student, alumnus, faculty or staff member, or anyone else who proudly supports the university. Whether in the context of academics or athletics, to display the Mascot Mark is to express loyalty to the competitive nature of CMU.
The Full Mascot Mark is made up of the Mascot Shield (which cannot be altered), the Wordmark and the word “Tartans.” These components can be used combined as the Full Mascot Mark or individually. The Wordmark and the word “Tartans” may also be combined.

Dos & Don’ts
Do scale provided files proportionately as a group — do not modify the components separately.
Don’t crop without permission from UCM.
When combining with the university logo, do separate the two and use the Mascot Shield version.
Don’t lock up the Mascot Mark with any other graphic or text.
Athletics and Student Groups
Athletic lockups are available for download here.
Recognized student groups competing in intercollegite competition (e.g., club sports, competitive clubs) can use the mascot graphic with their group/organization name. Permission is required from the Athletics Office or Student Life (SIT-CELD). Once permission is granted, contact marketing-info@andrew.cmu.edu for creation of the graphic files.
Do not create your own lockup.
